L'Inter, Porrentruy
Dans un pays où l'eau se fait rare, où les animaux meurent de soif et où l'humanité est en péril, une petite fille, Sofia, devient la personne la plus importante de son village. Elle pleure des larmes d'eau douce.
Ce pouvoir sauvera pour un temps son peuple de la sécheresse, avant que les villageois ne comprennent l'intérêt financier de la précieuse ressource. Le maire, le curé, les notables ainsi que son propre père abusent de ce don, quitte à maltraiter la fillette.
Dans un décor magique et onirique, de magnifiques marionnettes grandeur nature racontent cette fable poétique des enfances perdues.
